Jonathan
is a Cedar Rapids native who obtained a BA in Communication Studies
while attending Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Aside from his
studies, he also earned four varsity letters as a relief pitcher/spot
starter for the Norse baseball team, serving as co-captain his senior
season and compiling an 8-1 career record.
Following his college experience, Jonathan spent a year in New Zealand
bar tending and enjoying the Kiwi lifestyle. While the trekking,
skydiving, bungee-jumping, and rugby were all highlights of his year
abroad, the laid back, easy-going way of life is what he enjoyed
most. He recommends New Zealand as a travel destination fit for
everyone, but is happy to be back in the States and a member of the
MidAmerican Aerospace team.
Jonathan is a huge sports fan and avid Iowa Hawkeyes supporter.
He enjoys playing recreational sports and continues to play competitive
baseball for the Cedar Rapids Mavericks of the Iowa Valley
League. Jonathan enjoys music of all kinds, and is sometimes
mistaken for possessing above average talent on the drums and
piano. In his free time he enjoys reading, writing, and playing
with his pups.
